Hi everyone, it’s been a minute since my last blog post. 2019 has been a fantastic chapter. For once, I genuinely feel like I have finally lived and found the true meaning of solitude this year of 2019. 2019 has been a year of nothing but abundance, gratefulness, and happiness. My heart has never been so full. Today, I would like to share with you 5 important things that we should all do before 2020 arrives to finish off 2019 with a BANG and to slay 2020.
#1: Start Your Self-Reflection Process
I know it’s only November but this is actually the best time for you to reflect and re-evaluate your year. Don’t wait until December to reflect on your year! You will possibly be occupied by other holidays activities and will not have the time to sit down quietly to reflect
#2: Wrap Up Your Unfinished Projects
My Dad often told us, it is not important what you want to do but it is important that you do it.
Over the years, I’ve learned to be mindful of my time and not to say “YES” to many things once September arrives. The worst feeling you could ever feel is to know that you didn’t finish the projects/goals that you set out to achieve at the beginning of the year. Since last year, I started to use October, November, and December as the months to wrap up my unfinished projects. I want to make sure I end each year with a ‘To-Do list’ that I can check off completely. This gives me a good feeling to close off the year and reassure myself that I have done my best.
#3: Start To Replace Unhealthy Habits Now
Did you know that it takes 21 days to form a habit by repeating the action/behavior consistently? That is why November is the best time for you to start replacing bad habits with good ones. Don’t wait for January 1st to wake up early, to hit the gym or to start eating healthy.
If you could start training and disciplining yourself to form new habits now, you will have no problems maintaining them in the new year.
#4: Create A New Affirmations & Goal Statement For The New Year
I used to give myself some time to draft up new affirmations & goal statements only in December and I always felt like I had to rush through it because there was just so much going on in December. Since things aren’t as crazy in November as they are in December, it is the best time to sit down and really think about your goals & what you want to attract to your life in 2020.
#5: Detox Your Place & Your Space
Before December kicks in, you want to get your place and your space in order. Believe it or not, the cleanliness & organization of the space around you have a lot to do with your mental health.
I always find that I am more productive and more efficient when my bedroom and office are clean, my emails are organized and my closet is decluttered.
Those are my TOP 5 IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO IN NOVEMBER that will open up and create a positive physical and mental space for you to create more and achieve more in 2020. What about you? What do you love to do to prepare yourself for a new & successful year?
