As I promised, I have been working on adding more travel posts to this blog. If you are looking for a chic and couple friendly hotel for a short getaway this Valentine’s Day in Montreal, I have just what you need. Marc and I recently spent our weekend at Hotel Zero 1 and this is what we have to say about it.
Hotel Zero 1 is located at the most convenient spot of Montreal. It is literally across the street from China town and is walking distance to metro and other tourist spots. It’s right on the corner of Boulevard Saint-Laurent, which is where all the best restaurants and hang-out spots located.
The room is very chic and modern. The hotel room is small and compact but in a good way. The bathroom really reminds me of IKEA style. It is super minimal and simple.
From our room’s window, we can have a perfect view of China town and Montreal street arts. Each room is equipped with a small fridge, a small microwave, and reasonably sized closets. Hotel Zero 1 also has a lovely rooftop patio that is unfortunately not open during the winter.
The staff was super nice here. If you drive, there is a valet parking cost of $25 but you can request the car several times a day. However, there is a 15-30 min notice to the front desk that you have to make if you want to get your car. Because it was very close to everything else, we really didn’t have to request the car at all and just walk or uber around.
