Cute Makeup Look For Girls With Glasses On Valentine’s Day

Hey everyone!

So excited to get back on my makeup post. We all know that Valentine’s Day is coming up and I think one of the hottest search these past few days has been “Valentine’s MakeUp Look”. I looked through a few top posts online and I have not found any post talking about making girls who wear glasses look cute on their Valentine’s Day date. What is going on? Also, most looks are pretty redundant with the red lips and lots of sparkles. So I thought to myself, why not create a look that I like and just roll with it. Something simple but cute! So here it is , to all my ladies with glasses 🙂

The products that I am using to create this look are:

Do you know that you can still look cute and sexy as hell with your reading glasses if your makeup is done right? The trick here is to make the eyes pop as much as possible. Here are some of the tips you might want to take down:

Tip #1: Layer your eyeliner

I love my Motives Liquid Eyeliner in Noir (Black) because the tip is really soft and it is super easy to control. You can apply as many layers as you want on top of it until you achieve the thickness that you desire. Eyeliner does make a big difference in bringing out your beautiful eyes that often hide behind your glasses.

Tip #2: Go for colours that are opposite with your eye colours

So if you have brown or warm tone eye colours, you want to select eyeshadows that have cool tone because they will compliment each other and make your eyes really stand out. If you have cool eye colours, do the opposite. Look out for warm tone eyeshadows because if you use blue/green eyeshadows on blue/green eyes, your makeup will just be washed out.

With this look, I am using Motives by Mavens Dynasty Palette and I try to stay within the cool tone shades such as green, blue and a little of burgundy (this one is a warm tone).

Tip #3: False Lashes aka Falsies

False lashes really make a huge impact in bringing out your eyes, especially behind those glasses. If you only put on makeup to go out on a regular basis, you might want to skip this step. However, if you are heading out to a date night, a little falsies will just do the trick :). You can trust me on that! I prefer strip lashes just because it’s easier to apply and I don’t have to go to sleep with them like when I have my extensions on. You know I am that type of girl that like to rub her eyes with two hands the moment she wakes up and of course, that comes with a bunch of extensions falling like dominos every single time.

A side note for all my ladies with very thin and sort of ‘pointing down’ kinda lashes, I highly recommend wearing falsies if you have no time left to look for the right mascara that would do the magic.

Also, don’t forget the eyebrows. Shaping your brows the right way will really help to bring our your features and add a little of edgy factor to your look with your glasses. With this look, I use Anastasia Dip Brow in Medium Brown to fill in the brows and Motives Waterproof Eyebrows Pencil in Dark Brown to shape them.

Last but not least, I completed this look with a raspberry matte lipstick from Motives (Motives Ultra Matte Lipstick in Potent). I just feel like red is overrated on Valentine’s Day. A little bit bold but not typical with this colour will make you stand out. I love how creamy and moisturizing this lipstick is because most of the matte lipsticks I have tried in the past always dried out my lips but this one doesn’t. Also, it stays on for a long long time so might not even need to touch it up. To finish off, I use Motives Shape & Sculpt Duo Powder to add some highlight and definition to the look. You probably can’t notice here because the light kinda washed out. I need to really invest in a ring light, don’t you think?

Alright! Hope you are off to one amazing weekend and Happy Valentine’s Day!!!!
